Visit bookings are made by contacting the AMC directly by phone. Visit bookings need to be made at least three business days in advance of the data of the requested visits.
Please call 1300 286 583 between 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays), select Option 1 and leave the following details:
- your name;
- contact number;
- details of who you wish to visit;
- type of visit (zoom or in person);
- the day and time you'd like your visit to take place (please refer to the visits schedule below to book in the correct time);
- the names of any additional visitors attending.
You will receive a text message confirming the outcome of your booking enquiry two - three days prior to your booking. Visitors without a mobile phone will be contacted by telephone.
If you wish to make any changes to your booked visit, we ask that you contact the AMC two days prior to your visit to allow time to make those changes.

An extended or altered visit time in exceptional or compassionate circumstances (for example, a family member or friend is travelling interstate to visit detainee or a family member has passed away) may be considered by the Assistant Commissioner. Please send all requests to AMCExecSupport@act.gov.au.
