New Visits Schedule – Commencing 2 December 2023

From Saturday 2 December 2023, a new visits schedule will commence at the AMC.

The new visits schedule will see visits safely return to the pre-covid arrangements as follows:

• Social Visits increase to 18 detainees per session.
• Each detainee will be permitted a maximum of three (3) adult visitors and a reasonable number of children as per the Visits Policy.
• Visits will be open to nominated visitors only.
• Physical contact will be limited to a brief kiss at the start and end of each visit as per the Visits Policy.
• Zoom visits will be moved from the main visits area to the non-contact rooms.
• The children’s play area will be reopened.

The Visits Café will also be open on weekends for the Women’s, Mainstream enhanced and Protection enhanced visits. Café purchases can be made by detainees.
